Winter Skiing, Tubing and Snowboarding in the Dells Area
You won’t fight the crowds visiting the Dells area in the winter but you will find plenty to do and have a number of great Midwest ski sites nearby. Go sledding with the kids, enjoy cross-country skiing on miles of trails, or fly downhill–whatever brings you joy.
There’s Skiing, tubing and snowboarding at Cascade Mountain. Kids 12 or younger ski free when accompanied by a paid adult. Cascade’s slopes offer real skiing variety. Some of the 34 trails are challenging, while other trails are over a mile long and fun for everyone. Getting to the top of the mountain is quick and easy with ten lifts, including the high-speed Mountain Top Express. Cascade caters to the adventurous type with four terrain parks ranging from beginner to expert and a half-pipe. Just 15 minutes from the Dells.
Christmas Mountain Village is one of the region’s best family-oriented downhill and cross-country skiing. Their 11 downhill runs feature beginner to black diamond slopes. Brush up on your skills with a ski school lesson, shred it up snowboarding, zoom down the snow tube run or experience the thrill of night skiing.
